Professional Relationship
The relationship between Mind Maali and clients is a professional therapeutic relationship. We are committed to providing ethical, competent, and culturally-informed mental health services.
Scheduling and Cancellations
• Sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance
• Late cancellations may be charged the full session fee
• We understand emergencies happen and will work with you when possible
• Consistent no-shows may result in scheduling restrictions
Payment Terms
• Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made
• We accept cash, digital payments, and bank transfers
• Sliding scale arrangements must be discussed and agreed upon in advance
• Outstanding balances may affect scheduling of future appointments
Crisis Situations
While we provide between-session support for our clients, we are not a crisis service. In emergencies, please contact emergency services (100) or crisis helplines. We will work with you to create a safety plan as part of treatment.
Limitations of Online Services
• Online therapy has benefits and limitations compared to in-person sessions
• Technical issues may occasionally disrupt sessions
• You are responsible for ensuring a private, secure location for online sessions
• Emergency intervention is more limited during online sessions
Termination of Services
Either party may end the therapeutic relationship at any time. We will provide referrals and transition support when appropriate. Services may be terminated if safety concerns arise or if we determine that we cannot provide effective treatment.
